Polish Review: Conjured by AW

Ahhh I said I was going to do another post tomorrow, but the storms have knocked out our DirecTV, so I have no awesome tornado shows to watch right now. So why not post?!
I have two lovelies from Conjured by AW up for looksies tonight!
DSC_0606
First up is Warning, a hot pink stunner with subtle shimmer.
DSC_0212
I L. O. V. E. the formula on this one. It’s seamless and highly pigmented. Two coats to full opacity and it dries like a dream. I did have some slight bubblage problems, but I think that was due to my painting them outdoors.
I love the subtle shimmer in this polish and I know I can get many, many uses out of this beauty. I have a few hot pink pieces this would go great with!

Day Six: I didn't want to tell you this over the phone, I really wanted to fax you. But you don't even OWN a fax machine.

DSC_0610
Next up is For the Alliance! This topper has blue and gold micro glitters and blue holographic hexes.
DSC_0612
Pretty, huh?!
DSC_0220
It goes on great, but I did notice that it appeared that the larger blue holo hexes were tacoing. I’m figuring it’s just a trick of the light that happens with larger holographic glitters.
DSC_0223
They seem to wear flat on the nail, so I’m chalking this one up to refraction.
I really like this polish. It reminds me of my grade schools school colors. Gotta love that blue and gold!
The formula that Amanda uses is spot on. It’s fast drying, not horribly smelly and doesn’t clump and turn icky.
Check out these and other fabulous polishes on her Etsy page! Make sure to stop by and like her Facebook page as well. Tell her The Good Witch sent ya!

Polish Review: No Blank Paper

While I sit here and listen to the thunder outside (and jump up every 10 minutes to go check outside or look at the radar lol) I have another review up for you!

This one is special. These beautiful polishes come from No Blank Paper, a talented Etsy artist that was just trying her hand at making a few polishes as a bucket list venture. She hasn’t decided if she’s going to continue making polishes, but from what I can tell, she has an eye for it and a knack for combinations and formulas. Check out these pretties!

DSC_0243

This is Non-Linear, Non-Subjective, “a shimmering, sparkling blue vortex of time and space. Wearing this color has been known to raise one's IQ, but don't be surprised if a few of your clever explanations get away from you.”

I happen to love this description LOL How friggin clever is that?!

DSC_0253

And ehrmergerd it’s sooooo pretty. Three coats and complete opacity this polish is a stunner. I wish it hadn’t been cloudy when I shot these pictures because the shimmer in this polish is INSANE. I mean, completely.

DSC_0246

Next up is Pardon My Roar, a beautiful multi-faceted red stunner.

DSC_0259

How can you not like this beautiful cherry red beauty?!

DSC_0264

This puppy is a two coater. Minimal streakage and hellacious coverage!

DSC_0247

A Lady’s Imagination is a gorgeous amethyst shimmer that changes in the light. It is by far my favorite in the trio she set me. It’s so complex and gorgeous!

DSC_0268

In just two coats I can see this baby being an awesome accompaniment to a Halloween costume this year. Hmmm.

I really hope that Erin over there at No Blank Paper continues in this little bucket list venture, because she surely has an eye for it!

To buy these and other beauties (for just $3 a pop for minis, not bad, eh!?) please go visit her Etsy page! Let her know that The Good Witch sent you and how much you love her polishes!!!

Polish Review: Hardcore Cosmetics

Well hello, there! I’m so sorry I’ve been neglecting my wonderful Witchie Poos!!! Between work, home, my other job and everything else, things are just HECTIC!!!!

But I have a review for you today! I have six gorgeous polishes from the new-to-me store Hardcore Cosmetics!

DSC_0581

First up I have Oceans, one of my favorite polishes in this collection. She lists this beauty as “a gorgeous blue based teal with tons of gold-green duo-chrome shimmer.” It doesn’t fail to impress!

DSC_0653

It is quite sheer, it takes a bit to build it up, but the effect is stunning when you do get it up to opacity. There are three coats on my middle, ring and pinkie finger and one coat over black on my index finger.

DSC_0659

Oceans has a gorgeous shimmer that really comes out great with a dark undie.

DSC_0586

Next up is Bathwater is listed as a “milky pink crelly with pastel glitters and shimmers”.

DSC_0644

I really love how delicate this polish is. Again, like Oceans it is quite sheer so it takes a bit to build it up but it is sooo worth it. It’s so dainty and sweet.

DSC_0589

Next up is Crush, an orange-red shimmer polish.

DSC_0648

This one I had a bit of a problem capturing on my camera for some reason. It is a very pretty polish, but with most shimmer polishes, it does come out a little streaky, but it is by no means, a deal breaker. It is a very opaque polish, it only takes two thin coats to reach full opacity.

DSC_0591

Next is Raspberry Beret, listed as “an orchid creme shade speckled with subtle violet and silver translucence.” I really kinda dug this polish.

DSC_0637

It’s opaque like a jelly polish but its still shimmery as all get out. It was opaque in three coats.

DSC_0595

Heaven is a “a metallic rose-gold shimmer” that my mother absolutely fell in love with.

DSC_0631

This puppy goes on smoothly and seamlessly with minimal streakage. I am duly impressed with this polish!

DSC_0597

Lastly I have Queen, a gorgeous lavender inspired glitter topper that pretty much goes well with EVERYTHING. I’ve worn it under numerous colored undies since I got it and I have yet to find something it doesn’t go with!

DSC_0479

Here I have it on top of a yummy lilac shade from OPI.

The formula for this polish is SPOT on. There is minimal tip wear with any of these polishes. Dry time is non-existent and they don’t smell horrendous, which I love lol.

You can purchase these and other polishes at Hardcore Cosmetics’ Etsy shop. And don’t forget to like their Facebook page as well!

Polish Review: Literary Lacquers

Yet again, Amy over at Literary Lacquers has delivered another knockout collection. Her newest collection, The Ultimate Outlaw does not fail to impress and I have a few of the polishes from the collection for your viewing pleasure!

DSC_0005

First up is The Ultimate Outlaw, inspired by Tom Robbins’ novel Still Life with Woodpecker. This gorgeous sapphire blue linear holo is every holo-lovers dream.

DSC_0009

It surely doesn’t fail to impress, looking like liquid sapphires in the bottle.

DSC_0235

Even in partial shade, it’s a stunner.

DSC_0230

But it shines with brilliance in the direct sun. My sun today was kind of watery due to a weather system blowing in, so I wasn’t able to fully capture it’s wow factor, but this gives you a pretty good idea.

The formula, as always, is flawless. It does take three coats to reach full opacity, but it’s well worth the wait.

DSC_0012

Next up is Ether Binge, influenced by Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson, this beauty is listed as an “aquamarine linear holographic”.

DSC_0015

It’s a stunner, that’s for sure.

DSC_0051

Even in indirect lighting, it’s still pretty.

DSC_0055

But again, it burns with brilliance once you get a flash on it! Unfortunately by the time I got around to this polish the sun had hidden fully.

This is again a three coater.

DSC_0017

The last one I have for you is my favorite (and the hardest to capture). This grey glitter crelly is Annabel Lee, inspired by Edgar Allen Poe’s last poem titled the same.

DSC_0020

Like seriously, for some reason I couldn’t get a single good bottle shot of this polish. Amy lists Annabel as a “grey creme-jelly packed with holographic and iridescent microglitter and opalescent flakies.”

This is a beautiful polish and I love how it kind of reminds me of a tombstone. Morbid, I know, but it’s Poe we’re talking about.

DSC_0615

It is a very light formula, but so worth the time it takes to build up its layers. It’s serenely understated and still so beautiful.

I have featured Amy’s polishes numerous times here on the blog and she never fails to amaze me with her beautiful creations. I am consistently stunned by the beauties she comes up with.

You can purchase these and many of her other beautiful polishes at her Etsy store. Be sure to keep an eye on her Facebook page for upcoming collections!

Polish Review: Bombshell Lacquer

Today I have Poseidon by Bombshell Lacquer. It’s a beautiful deep blue shimmer that doesn’t fail to impress!

DSC_0002

Inspired by the Greek mythological God of the sea, and a part of her Mystic Mythology collection, Poseidon is a relatively sheer polish chock full of shimmer and sparkle.

DSC_0004

It’s a truly multifaceted sapphire blue. I can’t help but love it just for that, but when you mix in the mythology aspect I’m gaga over it. I’ve always loved mythology, either ancient Greek or Egyptian mythology. Was always one of my favorite things to read about when I was younger and still to this day captures my imagination.

DSC_0035

This is three coats of Poseidon with a topper of A Girl Obsessed’s Magpie Shine topcoat. Like I said, it is a bit sheer, but it builds up color very well.

DSC_0039

It looks fabulous in the sun, but unfortunately, the day I took these swatch pictures it was nice and cloudy. Plus I had a wonky cuticle if you can’t tell LOL.

DSC_0037

But you can see some of the sparkle with flash.

It really is a flawless formula. Goes on nice and smooth and dry time is fabulous.

You really should check out her other polishes in her Etsy store. She’s got some beautiful new ones that I may have to try soon! And make sure to like her Facebook page and show her some Witchy love!!!
