What a world, what a world!

I am so sorry that I have been so incommuincado as of late. Life has a funny way of happening when you’re busy making plans.

As you know, last August I started college back up after a ten-year hiatus. Things were great for the first couple of months, as I was taking one class, then the other three classes would start up in October. Wow! That was a change. I went from a little homework to a LOT of homework and REALLY fast.

In October, Halloween happened.

And I rocked my rockabilly devil look at our annual Neewollah parade.

Also, our vehicles were broken into the day before this. They stole my husbands lunch box, my sons backpack with his trapper keeper in it, my purse along with my wallet and everything in it including the last $13 I had, my kids’ (and mine) social security cards, all my bank information and…. Get this….. My friggin rear-view mirror and the things I had hanging from it and that’s not all.

I live in a teeny tiny town where shit like this isn’t supposed to happen. To have something like this happen just a few walls away from where you sleep was really upsetting to me. They caught two of the three suspects and were able to recover some of my things. My purse and my sons’ backpack were not among the items recovered.

Meh. People suck sometimes.

So anyways. Over Halloween I learned how to knit.

It is my new thing. This Hogwarts house scarf was the first time I knitted for someone else. My friend Kimberly in Texas absolutely adored it, and that made the struggle worth it in my eyes lol.

I have since knitted myself a hat and cowl, and a few other things. I have more items on the horizon, so I am really looking forward to it.

Christmas sucked, as per usual. Just too much to do and not enough money to do it. Such is life. It was wonderful to spend it with family, and the weather was exceptional.

I haven’t painted my nails since Halloween… I’m thinking about doing it tomorrow, not sure.

Spring semester starts on the 17th and I am looking at 17 credit hours. Five classes. Oy vey!

I am honestly wondering if doing this blog is even going anywhere. I seriously doubt that anyone reads it anymore and that bugs me. Is there ANYTHING I can do to make it better? Please, I’m open to any suggestions.

So there’s my little rant. I hope to be able to make time to blog again. I really miss it, and I miss the people that have come to mean so much to me from our interaction on this page.

I hope everyone is having a great start to the New Year.
